I’m gonna start off by saying that I’m a big fan of P-40 ALL-TERRAIN GEN.2 PANTS. I own 4 pairs and mainly use them for work (HVAC) and occasionally for PRS matches. I think they are the best tactical pants I’ve ever had to include Crye. These P-40 Urban pants, however, didn’t meet my expectations. The side cargo pockets are not a great design as whatever you put in them is hard to retrieve and feels uncomfortable. I’m also not a big fan of the knee pad pocket opening facing downward as my the knee pads tend to work their way down through the opening and I have to push them back through out the day. Besides that they are fine.

I picked up a pair of the P-40 Urban along with 2nd pair of the HT’s. I’ve had these for +3 months now and they’ve become my daily / training pants of choice. I like how they are a bit more “Grey Man” allowing you to wear out in public without drawing attention.

The small side pocket is large enough to hold my Apple iPhone XR. They are comfortable and holding up very well, don’t look any different from day 1.

I’m contemplating getting a 2nd pair of Urban’s, just can’t decide if I want to order the same color again or not???

If you have ever worn any other tactical pants then you know what I'm talking about. Very comfortable all day, moves in all the right ways and durable.

I love UFPRO stuff. I have a pair of Striker HT pants, another pair of XT Gen2s etc. That said, the Urbans look good on paper but don't really live up to expectations with respect to real world use.

The elastic side pockets are positioned so that you're sitting on whatever gear you put in them when in vehicle seats and it's completely uncomfortable/impractical as you either break gear (cell phones) or your mags/multitools etc. dig into your legs.

The zipper pockets are only good for light weight items like gloves, beanies or similar. If you put heavy gear in them like mags or a range finder or similar the gear just sits at the bottom of the pocket above the knee and it bangs around on your leg. No good. The side opening vs. top zipper is less than ideal as well.

I know that everything is designed to a price point but I miss the zippered cuffs at the bottom of the pants to keep the fit tighter and the cuffs out of the mud etc.

My suggested fixes: do away with the elastic side pocket and front thigh pocket, add in a single top zipper pocket with double inner pockets *but under the main leg material, not on top of it*, and add in the calf zippers from the XT series.

I wanted these to be my go to pants for every day use but I find myself in my full up HTs than these because I just don't use the side/leg pockets at all due to their impracticality.
