Unlike other folding bolt carrier extensions, this one is hollow, which allows the buffer of choice to work with a folding stock adapter. It also comes with three O rings, allowing it to fit securely into a variety of bolt carriers. To top it off, the Black Nitrite finish on this product improves fatigue strength, lubrication, wear resistance and corrosion resistance.

Tactical (Folding) Bolt Carrier Extension
Bolt Carrier Extension does the job. I took all three O-rings off and used the side of a small machinist file in the 3 O-ring channels and work just enough material off to make unit go into the BCG by hand. When done filing I used 1000 grit emory paper to polish out roughness in the 3 O-ring channels. This requires trial and error method by putting O-rings back on and taking off to keep checking for fitment as you only want to take off just enough material to allow the extension to go in by hand and to be able to remove by hand. It's really tight, but well worth the effort when done. I also had to take some material off the OD of the JP Silent Captured Spring so that it would clear the ID of the Carrier extension. No real biggie - again, a little at a time - recheck and continue until you have the needed clearance. Put the AR all together and did a check out by hand - no problem!! Love this part as I wanted to run the JP Silent Spring and this is the only way your going to do it!!

Tight Fit -- awesome product & support
Very tight fit on the JP SCS setup on my 300BO, but a few questions and quick answers from AO clued me into varying outside diameters of the JP SCS spring retaining washers; this also works with the ArmaSpec SMB (Sound Mitigation Buffer) really well - butter smooth action!
