This is a great addition to my duty size Ruger American 9mm pistol, I don't know if it's the added weigh location t or the ports but the comp kept my sights from moving even a little. Having carpal tunnel in my right wrist and tendinitis in my right elbow is a PITA but the comp reducing flip takes some pressure off these areas. The back plate is a nice touch also, getting rid of the plastic is not a big deal but it does have a nicer look.
