The Flatlander Rear-hub Motor

The main difference between this bike and the Mule is the motor. This bike comes with a smaller motor, so hunters that don't tackle rough terrain and steep hills or haul heavy loads can still enjoy the features of Bakcou’s high-end electric bike without the higher price point that comes with a beefier motor. 

However, don’t be fooled by this smaller motor. It's still a high-end Bafang 750W rear hub motor. The Bafang rear hub motor creates 85Nm of torque. Compared to the 160Nm of torque that the Bafang ultra mid-drive motor produces, this motor seems small. However, the average professional cyclist achieves about 50Nm of torque, meaning this bike still offers outstanding performance for flatland and rolling hills.

Minimum Height for a Comfortable Ride

If you are shorter, the Flatlander may not be a good fit. This bike best suits riders that are 5’8” and taller. Individuals that need a shorter bike, should look into the step-through(ST) version of this bike.
