AD Arms Billet Ruger Precision/American Rifle Cocking Piece
***This Pin Back is compatible with new Gen 2 American rifles***
*NOTE* This firing pin back is not compatible with RPR/American rimfire rifles.
This product is a billet RPR/American Firing Pin Back or cocking piece developed by AD Arms in response to the breakages many have experienced with the factory metal injection molded part. The design allows it to replace the factory part with ease.
This cocking piece is machined from a pre-hardened 4140 alloy billet. It is then nitrided for increased hardness, wear-resistance and corrosion protection. This fully-machined part will get the job done without risk of failure.
Furthermore, this firing pin back is lighter than the stock part. Because it is lighter, it increases lock-time performance while the hardness of the material decreases cocking effort.

Great replacement!
Great replacement for the stock cast cocking piece. Have them on both my Ruger Ranch rifles. Easy to install as well!

An excellent upgrade for the Ruger American rifle, easy to install, It also slicks up the trigger pull, My rifle's trigger is measuring a consistent 2.25 lbs after the AD Arms cocking piece was installed...with no adjustments made to the trigger itself.

Stock firing pin back broke before I even got to shoot the gun. Ordered this and had it put in. Feels great and shoots great!

Perfect upgrade
This billet cocking piece is a perfect upgrade for my Ruger American. It does noticeably reduce the trigger pull probably because it is smoother than the MIM part. It also does slightly reduce the effort required to lift the bolt handle. I like how the nitrided part matches the color of the receiver. Beautifully done, thank you AD Arms
