AD Arms Billet Ruger Precision/American Rifle Cocking Piece
***This Pin Back is compatible with new Gen 2 American rifles***
*NOTE* This firing pin back is not compatible with RPR/American rimfire rifles.
This product is a billet RPR/American Firing Pin Back or cocking piece developed by AD Arms in response to the breakages many have experienced with the factory metal injection molded part. The design allows it to replace the factory part with ease.
This cocking piece is machined from a pre-hardened 4140 alloy billet. It is then nitrided for increased hardness, wear-resistance and corrosion protection. This fully-machined part will get the job done without risk of failure.
Furthermore, this firing pin back is lighter than the stock part. Because it is lighter, it increases lock-time performance while the hardness of the material decreases cocking effort.

Great improvement.
The factory piece (cast aluminum) broke while I was at the range. Ordered this from Anarchy Outdoors, replaced the broken piece, and now everything works. Easy installation and upgrade. Great service.

What a difference!
I think just by replacing the cocking piece alone the action is way smoother. The reason for 3 stars is because the lack of pictures in instructions which is confusing for the crowd with magnum rifles. Just about every YouTube tutorial has examples of the short action cocking piece so you might get the cocking piece upside down or even backwards if you're not careful.
