  • Why wait for the OEM MIM part to break?

I ordered this, an AO bolt handle, and a third party trigger spring last fall and spent the winter tweaking an American Ranch 5.56 and handloading for it. This part, the trigger spring, and a little stone and polish work account for reducing the factory trigger pull successfully to an extremely consistent 2.5 lbs with no creep except for the safety blade spring's compression period. I don't know if the bolt handle helped in that regard, but the two parts together plus lapping the lugs certainly eased the bolt lift an appreciable amount. I lapped the bore with a poured lead slug and Flitz, laddered up a handload with a favorite varmint bullet, and finally got to the range this month on a very calm day. Oh, the joy of sending 5 bullets through one hole from a $300 budget bolt gun with a carbine-length barrel! I'm certain that no matter how much credit I'd like to take for my patience and persistence in hand-working this little rifle in, the AD Arms Cocking Piece and AO Bolt Handle were at least equally essential to my results. What's more, I have a friend with a Ruger American whose cocking piece broke on him during a dry fire session. I've heard of this happening to others as well. I'm much more confident in this AD Arms piece, and glad I bought and installed it before the OEM part ever had a chance to fail me in action. Machined and heat treated as AD Arms claims in the product description, I expect it to outlast most of the rest of the rifle.

Not cheap but much better quality than the standard part and feels smoother with the firing pin upgrade I installed at the same time. Never have to worry about a failure in the field

Like I said it fit without issue,is clearly a much more robust part, machining is perfect and it helps to smooth out the trigger break as well, I am using it with the Timney 641C, but I am sure it smooth out the break on the stock trigger as well. Highly recommended. Ed

  • Lost part but not forgotten customer.

My Ruger RPR's cast cocking piece broke after 500 rounds. The new solid billet piece from Anarchy Outdoors is a welcome precision formed and cut part, made to the exact physical dimensions but beats the original with better materials and machining. Swapped onto my firing pin with 15 minutes of home smithery. What is even more remarkable is this is a replacement which Anarchy kindly sent at their cost, when the first part they shipped was lost in the mail. And they turned this around to me within a few days. That kind of care for the customer is hard to find. Kudos to the Anarchy Outdoors team. Offering great upgrades and excellent support.

Yes, we can ship to Canada; however, we do recommend going through our Canadian distributor, Go Big Tactical. We haven't tested it on that particular model. We believe it should work but cannot guarantee it. We recommend reaching out to the manufacturer (AD Arms) for more information.

We would recommend loosening the cocking piece ever so slightly. This will help resolve the issue.
